Nathan grew up on the rough streets of Dublin in the 90's, experiencing a youth marked by violence and crime, during the dying days of the Troubles. It was then that he started his music career in groundbreaking Dublin proto-rap/R&B collective, The TB-PaLo Gang (short for Taco Bell Parking Lot Gang), famous for their 1998 one hit wonder, "Watch This (Chain Link Fence to a Golden Subaru)".

Nathan then joined the seminal Celtic Rap pioneers, the Dublin Boys, after the disbanding of TB-PaLo Gang. It was here Nathan became instantly renown for his signature funky slap bass in tandem with his signature sound, marked by heavy use of fuzz and envelope filter effects. The band's breakout 2001 single, "Guiness on my Jordans", was an overnight success and instantly put Nathan and band on the map.

Nathan in years to come, in addition to much success from numerous Dublin Boys hits, would also go on to start side projects such as solo acoustic indie folk project, iPad Dad, as well as the cult following bluegrass emo-pop super group, Weeaboo Weekend, alongside members of groups such as Blink 182, Owl City, Mae, and Death Grips.

When Nathan's not writing his Celtic Rap classics, he enjoys riding motorcycles, flying planes, running a nonprofit jackolope sanctuary, and writing and directing cult classic surrealist biographic horror films.

It should be noted that Nathan's birthday celebrations are legendary among the Celtic Rap party scene, coinciding with an annual Celtic Rap music festival in his native town of Dublin. Everyone who's anyone in the scene is there, and the party antics have grown so over the top as to warrant an official annual message from the city of Dublin to avoid tourism and sightseeing trips to the city during this time of year. In fact, several years ago, the Irish Army was ordered to maintain order during the festival and ensuing birthday celebration. However many present alleged that the entire Irish Army proved to be no match for hard partying Celtic rappers, resulting in a now enacted one-day per year demilitarized zone in the city of Dublin for the day of the celebration.

We could say more about Nathan and the importance he holds to this scene of music, but perhaps his music and own words speak better on his own behalf:

"Oi'm down ta par'y if de Monster's flowin'.
Oi'm down ta par'y if yer ma's goin'.
Trow away all yer blow,
Stack de cheese-its in a row,
Smash it up foine,
Snort dat $&#@e like snow.
If it's dat kinda par'y,
den Oi'm down ta go."

-Nathan O'roldo, "Dublin Party Lads" (2001)
